היום (חמישי 05.11), מעדכנת אפל (Apple) את מערכות ההפעלה שלה, ה-iOS 14.2 וה-iPadOS 14.2 עם תמיכה בהומפוד מיני ומספר מוצרים מותאמים לסדרת האייפון 12, רקעים חדשים ולמעלה מ-100 אימוג'ים שמתווספים לרשימה בלתי נגמרת למערכת ההפעלה. גם עדכון watchOS 7.1 לאפל ווטש סדרה 3 ומעלה ועדכונים נוספים.
אומנם לפני חודש ימים שחררה אפל את עדכון מערכת ההפעלה ה-macOS Catalina 10.15.7, אך כעת משחררת אפל עדכון נוסף לעדכון האחרון אשר פותר מספר באגים ותקלות במערכת ההפעלה. אך אפל עצמה דווקא ממליצה לעדכן לעדכון החדש שזמין להורדה דרך ה-AppStore ומערכת העדכונים תחת מסך ההגדרות שכולל תיקוני אבטחה חמורים שנמצאו באפליקציות ותוכנת פונטים שגורמת להשתלטות וגניבה של חומרים אישיים.
מלבד העדכון החדש של מערכת ההפעלה קטלינה, אפל משחררת את הגרסה המועמדת לשחרור של מערכת ההפעלה ה-macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 אשר זמינה כעת למפתחים ולתוכנית הבטא. אפל תערוך את אירוע ה-One More Thing לשנה, שכולו הולך להתמקד במחשבי המק מובססי מעבד האפל סיליקון, מערך אפליקציות חדש מהאייפון למק, ולא מעט הפתעות.
